According to 2018, Robin Hood Index, Amazon CEO and billionaire Jeff Bezos could keep the United States government afloat for five days. Bezos is currently the richest man in the world with $99 billion.
The index released by Bloomberg said that it looked at as many as 49 countries with “various political regimes and expenditure types and the richest individuals of each of these nations” to conduct their study on how long can billionaires use their wealth to run their countries.
“We then compared their net worth as of end-December 2017 to the daily cost of running each government. By the way, only four out of the 49 on the list are women: in Angola, Australia, Chile and the Netherlands,” Bloomberg said.

In India, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani who is worth $40.3 billion will be able to run the Indian government for 20 days.
The study found that Japan, Poland, the United States and China are the most expensive governments to run. Even Jack Ma, who is the world’s 16th richest person with $47.8 billion money, would be able to run the government for just four days.
