November 5: Chiedza Kambasha and her team made a major announcement in Kinshasa on Monday during a fact finding mission on women trafficked in conflict zones.
During a press conference with community leaders, Kambasha announced she’s making a $300 000 donation to anti-trafficking and PVE efforts in the DRC to promote peace and security while allowing repatriated vulnerable women to recieve suport, mentorship and smart grants to use entreprenuership as a tool to reengage them in the economic benefit of their respective communities.
The multi-award winning entreprenuer and special envoy took to social media to condemn the use of women as collateral in extremist agenda’s, wars and organised crime that today knows no borders.
“What’s foremost in my mind and many others, is trying to figure out the best way to help,we have so many young girls and women being trafficked to the EU and the UK by syndicated hellbent on destroying the cuastodians of communities, whom are women we cannot ignore this and it is our duty to act” Kambasha said.
During the press conference on Monday, Kambasha said she is delighted that 84 young girls are back in their respective countries and getting the assistance they need to rebuild their lives and to be successfully re-intergrfated into their communities.
