Renowned rock climber Alex Honnold has conquered the 3,000-foot wall of El Capitan—without a rope.
On June 3, 2017, Honnold became the first person ever to free solo climb this famous rock face at Yosemite National Park, California.
The moment was captured on video by Jimmy Chin for an upcoming documentary by National Geographic, according to press statement.
Remember, climbing up a cliff without ropes isn’t the safest thing in the world. But, men are still doing it for the sake of adventure and sometime out of sheer madness to create a record.
