Air hostesses BARE ALL in shocking ad; airline bosses under fire

Shock and awe: These are the two words in advertising world rarely used in order to grab the attention of the audience. However, this strategy is used every now and then. The latest to deploy this tactic is none other than a struggling Kazakh airline called Chocotravel. In a recent ad, the company released a footage in which some flight attendants or as some may call them air hostesses stripping down to just their hats and neckerchiefs. Welcome to the flashing the flesh travel ad – but the company has denied it is “sexist”.

Even as Chocotravel bosses were blasted online over the ad that featured 7 of their real air stewardesses in the nude, they decide to go offensive and later released a male version of the ad (scroll down).

The airline crew can be seen appearing fully naked – holding just their caps to cover up their modesty. The ad is all about the airline’s decision to lower the fare.Viewers on Youtube have blasted the ad as “sexist” – with it receiving over 450 dislikes on YouTube in a couple of days. The video has been viewed more than 137,700 times.

Here’s the video with the English subtitle. Watch what’s being said:

The airline company calls it “bold and outrageous”.

Chocotravel director Nikolay Mazentsev said in a Facebook post that the latest ad was not meant to offend anyone. Are you?If the boss is always right, the girls according to him are “beautiful girls” and also the boys are “showy guys”, and that you should not see “sexism in advertising, we shoot both girls and guys”.Here’s is his explanation: “The advertisement shows exactly as much as you can see on any beach or in the pool.”

The men do it too! A good explanation for not being sexist?
