Aizawl (zoramobserver.com): All India Congress Committee (Minority Department) Observer for Meghalaya, Nagaland and Mizoram Rejaul Karim Laskar on Friday called upon the Mizo National Front (MNF) to clarify their stand on alliance with the BJP.
Addressing the Political Session of Mizoram Pradesh Committee (MPCC) at the party office in Aizawl, Laskar expressed surprise that while the MNF leaders claim that BJP is not their ally, at the same time the MNF is a part of the BJP led so called North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA).
In his one hour long address to the MPCC Political Session, Laskar asserted that the MNF cannot hunt with the hound and run with the hare.
He added that the time has come for the MNF to make a choice: whether they will be on the side of the people of Mizoram or on the side of BJP and RSS.
Laskar also expressed worry over increasing instances of discrimination, harassment and atrocities meted out to minorities, especially Christians, in various parts of India after the NDA Government led by Narendra Modi came to power at the centre and held RSS ideology responsible for increasing atmosphere of intolerance that has recently been witnessed in various parts of India.
The Political Session of the MPCC was also attended by the Higher and Technical Education Minister Romawia and Finance Minister Lalsawta.
