Aizawl: Sharing a platform with Mizo National Front (MNF) chief Zoramthanga at MNF party meeting here on Monday, Lalthanliana, the lone sitting MLA of Mizoram People’s Conference (MPC) said that the MNF would come to power after the state assembly election due at the end of this year.
MPC is the constituent member of Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM), an electoral alliance formed by seven political parties.
Addressing a meeting at MNF office here, Lalthanliana expressed hope that the MNF would come back to power after the assembly elections.
“I use to make prediction before every elections which never failed. This time I hope the MNF would comes to power,” he said.
He said that he has friendly relation with five MNF legislators and felt at home at the MNF office.
“I have never been discriminated by MNF MLAs with whom I have good relation. I don’t feel the sense of being outsider here (MNF office) as there were MNF workers among people who made me a legislator,” he said.
Hinting that he may likely join MNF, Lalthanliana said he would deliver more speech in the future at the MNF office if God allow him to do so.
Meanwhile, sources said that the MPC legislator is shortly joining MNF as party leaders were looking someone in place of him.
In an interview with media, Lalthanliana had earlier said that he could not decide his next move whether or not to contest on ZPM ticket as party leaders did not include him as official candidate.
