Aizawl (zoramobserver.com): Well-known Mizo singer C. Vanlalsanga better known as C. Sanga died of deep vein thrombosis at Aizawl Civil Hospital on Friday morning around 8. He was 43.
The singer was rushed to Aizawl Civil Hospital after he was found lying unconscious on his bed in the morning. He was declared brought dead by doctors. He is survived by his wife Lalmuankimi aka Mamuani and 2 children.
Born to a well-known singer and lyricist C. Lalzuia and Lalhmingliani, C. Sanga began singing from his childhood and was empaneled artist of All India Radio since 2001. He had recorded 51 songs for AIR, Aizawl during his life time. He had also enlisted as artist in Doordarshan, Aizawl in 2005 and had recorded 13 songs for the TV programme. He won the heart of the people with his evergreen songs – Buannel ram dai, Ngaihai Lungrun, Tawnmang lasi among others.
His funeral service would be held at Central Hall, in Venghlui locality of Aizawl today (Saturday) at 12 noon and would be laid to rest in the afternoon.
