Aizawl (www.zoramobserver.com): BJP Mizoram Pradesh led by its president Prof. JV Hluna today organized Swachh Bharat Mission campaign in Aizawl and carried out mass cleanliness drive at New Market Aizawl Bazar.
Prof. JV Hluna who inaugurated the cleanliness drive said that it was a follow up of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP government’s massive mission to make India clean in all spheres by 2022.
He said that massive awareness should be carried out to educate people about maintaining our surrounding clean and disposing waste in proper place.
“I asked people to maintain cleanliness in market places, offices, schools and houses and to dispose garbage in proper place,” he said.
The Clean India Mission is one of the most widely promoted programmes of the Modi-led NDA government.
The program is divided into Swachh Bharat Urban (SBM-U) and Swachh Bharat Gramin (SBM-G). The urban part of the program is handled by the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs as the nodal ministry. The rural part is under the Union Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation. It is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mission to build New India by freeing the country of garbage, poverty, corruption, terrorism, injustice and communalism by 2022.
