Manipur Chief Minister announces helicopter service for Thanlon and Parbung

Imphal/Thanlon/Parbung (zoramobserver.com): Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh has announced five helicopter services to connect various regions of the state during a visit to Pherzawl District on April 20.

Singh said the service will be funded jointly by the Union Home Ministry and the State Government at the ratio of 75:25, according to a press statement issued by the DIPR.

“The Chief Minister said that helipads having necessary infrastructures for running passenger service would be developed at Thanlon, Parbung, Moreh, Tamenglong and Jiribam as soon as possible,” the  statement added.

He further stated that Ms. Usha Padhee had informed him that opening of necessary procedures for the opening of tender of helipad construction would be completed by last week of May this year.
