Baltimore, Md. September 30, 2018: Members and associates of the highly advantageous business networking organization known as the Maryland Business Connection is excited to announce the winners of their 5th (annual) “Maryland’s Top Crab Cake Challenge”.
Local Maryland restaurants and caterers actively competed to see who the judges would claim made the best crab cakes and the best crab soup. And guess who the judges were? You. That’s right, attendees that purchased an admission pass ($25 in advance; $35 at the door) and received tokens to sample crab cakes, crab soup and local beer and wine. At the end of the event, attendees voted for their favorites. How cool is that! Right?
Here are the winners.
Coming in 3rd place for Maryland Crab soup was Acme Bar & Grill from Annapolis. 2nd place was claimed by Dorina’s Kitchen and defending their title as Maryland’s Best Maryland Crab soup was Food by Fire Catering in Hereford.
Placing 3rd in the Cream of Crab soup division was Schrader’s Outdoors, LLC from Henderson, MD. In 2nd place was by Brews and Cues on the Blvd. in Glen Burnie and this year’s winner of the Best Cream of Crab soup in Maryland was Mick’s Gourmet Soups from the Eastern Shore. Also, the crab cakes were AMAZING from all of the participating restaurants and caterers but we can only have three winners so here they are. In 3rd place was Brews and Cues from Glen Burnie. 2nd place award goes to Acme Bar & Grill in Annapolis and this year’s winner with Maryland’s Best Crab Cake was EJ’s Provision Co in Laurel.
There was a Silent Auction sponsored by Westminster’s very own Lupton’s Sports Collectibles that took place to benefit the National Kidney Foundation serving Maryland and Delaware as well as a Casino Night, a DJ, an Interactive photo booth and access to 60-70 local business owners and entrepreneurs via their local business exhibits. Attendees then attended an energetic Networking Reception.
