Sitcom actor Ray Diaz, best known for his appearance on season 2 of the TV Land comedy ‘Lopez’, was taken in by the police following a complaint filed by his girlfriend, accusing him of abuse and assault, TMZ reports.
According to the celebrity news site TMZ, the incident was brought to the knowledge of the authorities after things turned violent between the model-turned-actor and his girlfriend, whose name has not been disclosed. While not much information is available at the moment about the woman, law enforcement sources revealed that the altercation took place earlier this month at Diaz’s house in Hollywood, as per the report
What began as an argument, is soon believed to have turned into a physical exchange with the actor allegedly getting violent with his girlfriend. He is reported to have grabbed and pulled the concerned woman, leaving serious injury marks on her neck and leg.
Ultimately, two days after the alleged incident, the woman is said to have taken the matter to the police, filing an official complaint with the authorities photographing the injury marks. Since cops registering the domestic abuse complaint, Diaz has been arrested. He was, however, let out on a bail of $50,000.
On the professional front, the actor is famous for his appearance on George Lopez’s TV Land show as a series regular. In the comic series, Diaz starred as Hector, a friend from Manolo’s past, who ‘becomes like a son to George and a little brother to Manolo and Maronzio’.
