I’m A Celebrity 2020: Sir Mo Farah left ‘disappointed’ as he lands nine stars in Fort Locks trial

The public had voted in the Olympic gold medallist to face Fort Locks – finally giving Jordan North a break, after he’d been voted in for all of the first three trials.

Sir Mo seemed pretty excited and up for the challenge when his name was called out by Ant and Dec, but despite giving it his all, he couldn’t help but feel a little miffed, after he failed to win all 12 stars.

In the end, he only managed to secure nine stars before time ran out.

‘That was not easy. Going home with nine stars, I am disappointed,’ Sir Mo said.

He was tasked with retrieving stars from the locked hell holes built into the castle walls. First, he had to retrieve the keys for each lock that were attached to chains in holes (and obviously filled with critters) on the opposite wall.

Once he had opened the locked hell hole, he was faced with more critters as he reached in to grab each star.

Fans were loving Mo and his squeals throughout the trial, especially when he was faced with a hole of pigeons, and joked the athlete has now signed himself up for many more to come.

‘Mo, he’s signed himself up for the next few trials with this,’ tweeted one fan.

‘Every squeal out of Mo’s mouth is another vote for him doing the trials for the rest of the week,’ said another.

‘Everyone was voting Jordan for his reactions when, all this time, we could have had Mo’s instead,’ said one entertained fan.

While another posted: ‘Mo farah is definitely going to be voted for more trials with all the screaming hes hilarious!!’

Sir Mo revealed that the hardest part of the trial for him was not knowing what was going to be in each hole (spolier alert: nothing nice).

‘It’s the not knowing. Everything I do, you train for it, you get through it and you relate, but not not knowing scares me,’ the sports star said.

Sir Mo was faced with offal, worms, locusts, slime, maggots, and cockroaches to name a few and he ended up covered in fish guts by the time the trial was done.

‘I stink,’ he joked as he wrapped up in the trial area, before heading back to camp and enlisting the help of Jordan so he could wash the stench out of his clothes.

Jordan teased: ‘I thought it was me being dramatic because I haven’t got a good gag reflex. Honestly, I’ve never smelt anything like it. He absolutely stunk.’
