Megan Thee Stallion takes aim at Tory Lanez on diss track Shots Fired

Megan Thee Stallion has taken aim at Tory Lanez in a diss track on her new album Good News.

In October, Tory was charged with assaulting Megan during an alleged shooting incident in the Hollywood Hills in July, with the star pleading not guilty to shooting Megan in both feet.

Megan, 25, was left needing surgery to remove bullets from her feet after being shot and called it the ‘worst experience of my life’.

In the opening track of her debut album Good News, aptly titled Shots Fired, the rapper does not name names but it is clear she is referencing Tory and the alleged shooting.

The song opens with: ‘Imagine n***as lying ‘bout shootin’ a real b****’, and hears Megan rap: ‘If it weren’t for me, same week, you would have been indicted (should’ve let them lock your a** up.’

Megan then claims that the gun used to shoot her was loaded with pellets, with lyrics including: ‘You shot a 5’10” b**** with a .22, talkin’ bout bones and tendons like them bullets wasn’t pellets, a p***y n***a with a p***y gun in his feelings.’

This lyric appears to be a direct response to Tory’s song Money Over Fallouts, in which he says: ‘How the f*** you get shot in your foot, don’t hit no bones or tendons?’

Megan also denies being a ‘snitch’ on the song, rapping: ‘I ain’t never went to the police with no names.’

Tory was charged with a felony count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, a felony count of carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle and for personal use of a firearm.

This week, the 28-year-old pleaded not guilty.

The Canadian rapper addressed the alleged shooting on his new album Daystar, claiming that he had been ‘framed’ for the incident.

Lyrics on Money Over Fallout included: ‘You are the alleged shooter of Megan Thee Stallion/Instagram, in the pool with Kylie Jenner/ Was she backtracking with what she said originally?/

You know, maybe that’s why we don’t have a report.’

Megan only addressed the alleged shooting on Shots Fired.

The star, real name Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, collaborates with City Girls, SZA, Lil Durk, Mustard, 2 Chainz, Popcaan, Big Sean and Young Thung on Good News, with the Savage Remix featuring Beyonce also on the record.

Alongside the album drop, Megan also released the video for Body, which – much like her song WAP with Cardi B – features multiple cameos from fellow hot girls.

Taraji P Henson, Jordyn Woods and Blac Chyna are among the famous faces making surprise appearances in the twerk-heavy video, which is sure to be a smash on TikTok.

Good News is out now.
