20-year-old Anna Montgomery was left covered in blood after being randomly targeted in a bar in Belfast, Northern Ireland, according to reports. Anna had gone out with her boyfriend when she was allegedly smacked in the face. She suffered bruising to her face and’smashed up’ nose. Police are investigating the incident and say they are treating it as hate crime. Notably, she has thanked her friends and staff at the restaurant for helping her get through the night.

She added that she is getting assaulted for just being me and feels sorry for the person who attacked her. A PSNI spokesman said: “Enquiries are continuing into this matter, which is being treated as hate crime.”
