Single-vineyard blends of the wines from this vineyard are so different, you almost smell them. It should be a true twin of the vineyard’s 2008, with its dried apricot and cherry fruit, freshly squeezed citrus and herbs. The acidity and the overall balance are excellent. The wine is a bit lean and sharp, but you’ll love its freshness and the acidity that comes from the mineral texture.
Aromas of dried herbs, raisin, rubber and tobacco are followed by a plump palate of dried cherry, tobacco and oak. It’s a firm and tightly wound offering, with a finish that is peppered with cardamom and nutmeg.
This is an interesting wine. It’s a muddled, cramped wine, with a dense structure that would require some time to unwind. It unveils a wide spectrum of aromas in the glass, with a hint of green suggesting red currant and raspberry. The palate is strong and chunky, but the succulent black-fruit flavors are a treat in themselves.
The wine is a blend of the three top Cabernet Sauvignons in the area. The aromas are subdued, but the flavors are very pronounced. It has a full body, rich and concentrated black-plum and cherry flavors, accompanied by rich, spicy tannins. It is still young, so give it time to open. Drink from 2019.
This wine is a blend of the three top Cabernets, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The aromas are lively, with notes of rose, dried herb and cherry. The flavors are black-fruit driven and layered, with a lingering finish. The finish is medium bodied, with the tannins not overwhelming it.
Ripe and fruity, this is a fruity wine that is ready to drink. It has a crisp texture that gives the wine a lift, fresh red-currant flavors and a tangy texture. Drink now.
