Aizawl: Mizo National Front (MNF) senior vice president Tawnluia on Tuesday said that the MNF could not work together with the BJP as their ideologies are antagonistic to each other.
He was addressing a meeting at Khawzawl where he inducted 48 new voters into MNF.
Speaking on the occasion, Tawnluia said the MNF has been accused of having secret pact with the BJP for the upcoming polls.
He asserted that the MNF and the BJP could not work together because they have different interest and that their ideologies are antagonistic to each other.
He said that the MNF has been against the policy of BJP’s Hindutva.
“We will protect the Christian religion, if we come to power after the assembly elections. We would also not introduce yoga in the state,” he said.
He added that the MNF give priority to protection of the Mizo people and their religion from impending threat.
He alleged that both the Congress and ZPM are working hand in hand with the BJP.
The MNF leader said that his government would implement Khawzawl district, which was announced in 2008.
He said his government is committed to implementation of Khawzawl district, which is their primary objective.
Apart from Khazawl, Saitual and Hnathial will also be made functional as full fledged districts, he said.
He added that the implementation of three new districts was unanimously approved by the MNF core committee and the PAC.
