Saikot/Pherzawl: Pherzawl Deputy Commissioner Tombikanta Singh has directed all employees posted in Thanlon Sub-Division and Parbung Sub-Division to attend the inauguration of the state government’s ‘Go to village’ mission on May 1.
“All the DLOs of Pherzawl District posted in Pherzawl District posted in Thanlon A/C and Tipaimukh A/C are requested to attend the inauguration (of Go to village mission) on time without fail,” the top district official said in a statement made available to zoramobserver.com.
The district-level inaugural function of Chief Minister Biren Singh’s mission ‘Go to village’ to deliver government service in rural areas will be held at Khojang village (Thanlon A/C) and Patpuihmun village (Tipaimukh A/C) respectively.
The events will be attended by their local MLAs – Dr. Chaltonlien Amo at Patpuihmun and Vungzagin Valte at Khojang village.
It’s still not clear whether the government officials have been told to stay permanently at their places of posting.
“Unless government employees stay at their posting places, the chief minister’s slogan ‘Go to village’ will fail,” said a local activist who wished not to be named.
