Sielmat (zoramobserver.com): Manipur BJP-led government headed by Chief Minister N Biren Singh’s slogan “Go to the Hills” will become a reality tomorrow.
The historic Cabinet meeting will be held for the first time in the hill areas since the creation of Manipur.
It wil be held at the DTC complex in Tuibuong.
In connection with the Cabinet meeting, the Churachandpur district administration and various student leaders, philanthropic organisations are gearing up to welcome the CM and other Cabinet ministers.
However, the agenda of the meeting is still not clear.
Meanwhile, whether it was a coincidence or by sheer chance that the Mizoram government and NGOs from the neighbouring state of Mizoram today revealed that they have submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking the Central government to create a separate administration for the hill tribes belonging to the Chin-Kuki-Mizo-Zomi-Hmar group on the lines of a Naga settlement model.
Looks like the Cabinet meeting will not be an easy affair after all.
