Saikot, April 24, 2018: Blacktopping of Sungnu Road to Saikot SDO Approach Road began today after the state government approved one of the key demands of the Saikot Sub-Division Demand-cum-Development Committee (SSDCC).
“We appreciate the government for speedy approval and sanction of the funds. The road will now be much more comfortable for the people of the sub-division who come here to conduct official business,” SSDC chairman Timothy Z Zote said while urging the state government led by Chief Minister N Biren Singh to fulfil other needs of the divisional block.
The road is constructed with Rural Development Fund and the contractor
is George Guite.
“We also urged the contractor to deliver good quality road as per the existing estimated plan. The people of Saikot Sub-Division will cooperate and help in every capacity,” Zote added.
SSDCC had urged the state government to also create a Sub-Division police station, construct four RCC bridges, a community hall, repair Sugnu Road and the road to Saikot primary health centre among others.
